Welcome to the website for the twelve-metre USA ’61.
USA or the GEEK as she was known, was designed and built for the San Francisco based Challenge for the 1987 America’s Cup.
Sailed by Tom Blackhaller and Paul Cayard, she made it to the Challenger Semifinals where she was beaten by eventual winner STARS & STRIPES.
She is now located in New Orleans, LA where she is being thoughtfully restored by her new owner Pearce Wood
